Different War - Same Lie

Senator Tom Cotton says that a war with Iran would only take "several days."  We'll go in, drop a few bombs, ba-da-boom, ba-da-bing, and the American boys (and girls) will be home by Christmas.

Don't you believe it.

That was the same lie that Donald Rumsfeld and the Bush 2.0 administration sold us back in 2002. Rumsfeld told us it would be over in "five days, five weeks or five months, but it certainly isn't going to last any longer than that."

Liar.

The Kaiser told German troops that they would be "...home before the leaves have fallen from the trees."

Liar.

Every war. Every time. It's the same damn lie.
